To win a spot in an elite workshop for studio photographers, Leonora Westcott must put together an extensive portfolio. Her efforts--and inspiration--get a boost when Claudia Galloway, a teacher intern in town for only a few months, volunteers to model.
For Claudia, the sensual poses offer one last chance to flaunt her independence before settling into the scripted life her wealthy fiancé has planned for them in California's exclusive San Simeon community.
Leo has always seen her subjects as objects of shadow and light on the other side of her lens--until now. Every photograph of Claudia brings her feelings into sharper focus, feelings she fears Claudia will never share. As their series of sessions come to a close, Leo decides to risk her heart. But Claudia has declarations of her own.

Being a lot more selective these days with regard to what actually ends up on my book shelf, this offering from KG definitely did not disappoint.Initially meeting Leo later in life, and then (through later chapters) re-living the first meeting of Leo and Claudia, formed good groundwork for the story. I loved the way past and present were interwoven, with just enough grey areas to keep you from jumping too far ahead with your own conclusions.
Emotion, without too much angst, made this a nicely balanced romance to read.
Exposure to the women in both their twenties and later in their forties makes this a novel that should appeal to more than one generation of readers.
Many thanks to the author for a satisfying experience.

Photographs of Claudia edition by KG MacGregor Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I have not been able to put it down it is a wonderful book written by a wonderful author. Every book that I have read by this author is great I love them.
That's the word that best describes this book, wonderful.
It was a very satisfying read. KG MacGregor is a very talented writer as evidenced yet again by this new book. A must read!
I really like KG MacGregor's work. I loved the "Shaken" series so I was excited to read this book.
This author writes wonderful, likeable and realistic characters and I love the fact that her books aren't about clichéd love at first sight. As always, in her romance novels, she lets her characters really fall in love. We get to see the courtship and it moves at a realistic pace. For me, this romance shows that falling in love can transcend gender. It is very bittersweet but, it evokes very satisfying emotions.
Here's to finding your soul mate!
An enjoyable read with little twists and turns to keep it from being too predictable. Narrative is great and the present to past to present back and forth peaked my curiosity as the story progressed and caught me off guard at one point. Entertaining read.
Leonora Westcott is an up and coming photographer. Claudia Galloway is a student teacher. They meet at an elementary school photo shoot. They strike up a friendship that takes a serious turn after Claudia volunteers to model for Leo. By the time Leo's photo portfolio is complete, they realize they are in love.
At this point Claudia's previous life intervenes. They go separate ways and create very different lives for themselves. Twenty four years later they meet again. The circumstances that kept them apart have changed, so they get a second chance at love.
I found their reunion to be bittersweet...they have missed so much of each other's life. As Claudia puts it, "a whole lifetime". They were in their early twenties when they fell in love but don't get to be together until their late forties. So much wasted time.
This is a decent story, an easy read, certainly worth reading. It's another winner for KG MacGregor.
Another great book by K.G, who never seems to disappoint. Leo and Claudia are two characters who seem to be polar opposites, yet the attraction is obvious. Claudia's fears and family keep her from pursuing a future with Leo. Meanwhile, Leo continues to hold a torch for the woman she loves. A chance meeting years down the road serves to re-establish their connection that was never truly lost. Makes you wonder how long one can wait for "the one". Couldn't put it down - read in one night.
This is my first book by the author. I have been waiting for this particular book to come out on for a long time; I was drawn into the story immediately when I found it on this site but only in hardcover. I finally bought it yesterday and read it in one sitting. What a lovely story. I became very attached to the characters, who were well conceived and developed. The unfolding romance between a straight young woman and a gay one was easy to believe. The writing is simply superb. I read a lot of books in this genre and this is one of the best. The story and the characters will stay with me for a long time.
